...it was definitely one of the better indie vamp films of recent memory, looks like you put a lot of work into the script. I liked the way it was shot, too.

Vampire Conspiracy
A well thought out and written plotline carries this film, I was intrigued by the storyline and found myself either liking or hating the characters, particularly the scumbag lawyer. If you like intelligent storylines and dialog driven horror with just enough blood and beasties thrown into the mix, this one will fit the bill.

Five strangers are abducted by a 250 year-old vampire, and placed into a deadly game of wits and endurance. Should they make it through the maze alive, they will receive the vampire's entire fortune - riches beyond their wildest dreams. Should they fail, they become victims to his hunger and are placed back in the game. The only clues to their salvation are the seven words scrawled on the floor throughout the maze and an insane man who was a participant in the last game. Two guys are frantically trying to find their way out of what appears to be some strange house, one of them admits to having banged a 14 year old, solidifying his berth as the first victim (c’mon you know you want him to get it). Ghouls break in the room and ruin the moment and Mr. Pedophile is quickly dispatched providing a means for his buddy to escape. Not too long after escaping he runs into what looks like a stereotypical old-school vampire.

“There were several aspects of the film that I did enjoy and that I did find ambitious and I think they worked to a large degree. The telling of the story and the interrelationships of the characters unknown to them and the audience worked… and that made the end of the film very satisfying. Without a doubt the camp humour was very good and I love the audience interaction with the characters on the screen. We could certainly use more of that in the cinemas these days. The script had to be good otherwise the limited sets and locations would have never sustained the film’s content… (This aspect of the film alone makes it noteworthy)

And finally we needed a ditzy Anita Egberg, Marilyn Munroe type in the pic to give the screen some sizzle which would have complemented the Ed Wood look with a touch of Russ Meyers… had this had happened I think you would have covered off all the bases. While the pic had some weaknesses, it was a good film, and certainly played better than many I have seen for far greater budget.”

So loved Vampire Conspiracy. I only watched it first because someone let me borrow the dvd. I am not "normally" into Vampire movies. Living in the uk, I wouldn't have heard of it. I think it's a shame, so I am now sharing it with as many people as I know. I hope to see and share more of your work and I hope to see that lovely french man again (J-M FONTAINE) in movies, this side of the Atlantic.
Best regards.
Jody.
